BRIDE AND PREJUDICE

Lalita Bakshi is a daughter of a farmer in Amritsar. She has three sisters, Jaya, Maya, and Lahki. Lalita is introduced to William Darcy, an American businessman, but initially deems him to be self-absorbed and resists his advances.

Lahki falls in love with Johnny Wickham, whose mother was Darcy's childhood nanny. Darcy tries to warn Lalita about Johnny, without revealing he impregnated Georgie, Darcy's younger sister, when she was sixteen-years-old, but she assumes Darcy is simply jealous of his romantic rival.

Lalita, her mother, and sisters go to Los Angeles to attend the wedding of Lalita's best friend Chandra Lamba to Kholi. Lalita and Darcy begin to spend time together, and she overcomes her misgivings and falls in love with him.

Darcy proposes to her, but Lalita declines because Darcy discouraged his friend Balraj from having a relationship with her sister, and she returns to India. Lakhi runs off with Johnny, and everyone is worried. Darcy flies back to London and, with Lalita's help, rescues the younger sister. They fly back to India where Lalita and Darcy and Jaya and Balraj get married in a double wedding.

SYDNEY WHITE

Sydney White is the daughter of a plumber, who has grown up among construction workers ever since her mother died (when Sydney was 9). Sydney earns a scholarship for college and hopes to follow the legacy of her mother and enter the Kappa Phi Nu sorority. Sydney immediately clashes with the sorority president Rachel Witchburn, after Rachel sees Sydney talking to Rachel's ex-boyfriend Tyler Prince. Rachel schemes to keep Sydney out of the sorority and uses her presidential authority to declare Sydney unfit to be a Kappa. Humiliated, Sydney immediately leaves the Kappa house. With no place to go, Sydney is taken in by seven outcast students who live in "The Vortex,"(Which is called Vortex because "it sucks in losers"), a house on Greek Row for people who don't belong. She realizes what great people they are, and she convinces one of them, Terrance, to run for Student Body President in order to take back what the Greeks have had for so long. When those dreams are denied (Terrance has already graduated), Sydney runs for president herself, against the manipulative and conniving Rachel Witchburn.

LOVEWRECKED

LOVEWRECKED tells the story of Jenny (Amanda Bynes), an eighteen year-old girl who is ecstatic when she finds that her favorite rock star, Jason (Chris Carmack), is a guest at the tropical resort where she is working for the summer. When Jason falls off a cruise ship, Jenny dives in to save him, and the two raft their way onto a nearby "desert island" -- actually just a stone's throw from a luxury resort. However, Jenny wants to spend some time alone with Jason, so she lets him continue to believe that they are desperate castaways-- at least for now. Things get even more complicated when Jenny's rival Alexis (Jamie-Lynn Sigler) pretends to be shipwrecked too, and they both compete for Jason's affections. When Jenny's plan blows up in her face, her lifelong friend Ryan (Jonathan Bennett) is there to pick up the pieces...

TUCK EVERLASTING

Tuck Everlasting is the story of a girl named Winnie and a family who she meets, the Tucks. The Tucks have a secret, they're immortal. They drank water from a spring that was actually a fountain of youth. Till the end of time, they will stay that way. Winnie falls inlove with one of the Tucks, Jesse, a "17" year old boy who shares the same feelings for her. Scared of death, Winnie must choose between being immortal and being with Jesse or following the circle of life and dying someday. The Tucks try to teach her how she shouldn't fear death, how they would give anything to die. It teaches the importance and understanding of life and death. It shows that you should not fear death, but to fear an unlived life.
